Emma
A UKA qualified running coach and qualified fitness instructor and strength & conditioning coach. Before her cancer diagnosis in 2025, Emma was a competitive ultra runner, GB Ultra sponsored athlete after being recognised for her incredible running ability. Positioned as head Running Coach for Run Macclesfield for many years, Emma has worked with both new and competitive runners to improve their performance, confidence, and enjoyment of running.
Emma’s recent experience with illness changed how she thinks about training. During treatment she found she lost muscle mass, her heart rate was affected, and she has had to rebuild her strength from the ground up. Starting again taught her invaluable lessons that have reshaped how she approaches coaching. Today her focus is on helping people build strength, fitness, and resilience that supports long-term health rather than short-term goals.
Emma works particularly well with people who feel intimidated by the gym, are returning after illness, injury, or a long break, or want to build strength safely and sustainably.
“My coaching prioritises confidence, long-term progress, and habits that last. - You don’t need to be in a fit state to start. You just need to be willing to begin”
